Guides / Match situations

Small reads for better matches

Choose one idea to try rather than a whole new playstyle. These guides concentrate on cover, ability timing and regrouping, with links back to the official hero information.

Guide 1 / Ability decisions

Ana: save a dart for the moment that matters

Keep the next decision available. Healing, utility and a safe position work together.

Read the threat

Before using Sleep Dart, identify what is most likely to reach you or your teammate. A nearby flanker and a distant tank ask for different responses. Keep cover close enough that missing the shot does not leave you in the open.

Make the follow-up possible

A sleeping target does not automatically become an elimination. Ping the target and notice whether teammates can act without crossing a dangerous angle. Sometimes the useful result is simply the time to reposition.

Try this next match

In one fight, name the threat before using the cooldown. Afterwards, ask whether using the dart changed the situation or merely delayed your move to safety.

Guide 2 / Ability decisions

Kiriko: give Protection Suzu a reason

Keep the next decision available. Healing, utility and a safe position work together.

Look for the event

Protection Suzu is easier to judge when you know what you are answering. Watch for the incoming ability, a dangerous status effect or a teammate who needs a brief window to reach cover.

Keep the exit in view

A save may put Kiriko in the same danger as the ally. Notice which teammates are still safe before moving. Your next position should let you keep contributing after the immediate threat passes.

Try this next match

Pick one threatening enemy ability to watch. Keep your position safe enough to see it arrive, then review whether the Suzu bought a useful action for the team.

Guide 3 / Map awareness

Escort: use the corner before the checkpoint

Make the next corner playable. Space only helps if your teammates can use it.

Walk the useful route

During a quiet moment, look beyond the payload. A corner, doorway or high-ground route can give your team a shorter exposure than walking through the centre of the road.

Use space as a group

The cart and the frontline do not always need to occupy the same point. Who can contest safely depends on the fight. Avoid leaving one player exposed while everyone else takes a different route.

Try this next match

Choose a piece of cover before the fight starts. When pressure arrives, return to it instead of retreating straight down the open lane. Look for where your supports can still see you.
